Genesis
The idea of the Pan African Institute of Paralegal Studies, Abuja was conceived out of a gap observed in the legal profession in terms of lack of support staff (legal executives) in the judiciary, law firms and law enforcement agencies. This observation became the driving force for Barrister Panaf Olajide Olakanmi that eventually birthed Pan– African Institute of Paralegal Studies.
The Origins Of Panaf Institute
In 2012, we were granted the institute status by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and by the Corporate Affairs Commission as a company limited by guarantee, after demonstrating that we were a professional body of outstanding standard. By March 2012, we were further accredited by the National Board of Technical Education for the award of National Innovative Diploma and Higher National Innovative Diploma. Both applications for accreditation for the status of an Institute status by National Board of Technical Education were supported by the Federal Minister of Education. The Institute is pioneer in educating and training Paralegals in Nigeria.
